Gamepaign Pocket-Sized Rules

Gamepaign 2008
Rules: Short Version
10/17/07

1. Everything is determined and voted on by the 4EConglomerate. Majority wins. If a contribution/suggestion receives no opposition, it stands (until it is opposed.)

2. Candidates start with 300 points. This might be increased later on...

3. Late-entry candidates lose 25 points per month after the beginning month, October. Candidates can lose points over statements spoken or written starting from October 2006.

4. Points can only be taken away, not added, unless new information comes to light.

5. Here are the default assumptions used as a backup for debate:

> means "preferred over"
  • More individual freedom > less individual freedom
  • Less taxes / government expenditure > more
  • Public demands > individual demands
  • Global demands > local demands
  • Rules of "traditional" economics > other guidelines
  • In the absence of reliable or understandable information, Occam's Razor (simplicity) wins.
  • Using your head > using strict rules

6. We'll use the comments section of each candidate's page for all scoring and relevant debate.

7. We have only the following options for point deductions:
0, -4, -8, -16, -24 or -40 points

8. Information from a candidate's web page can warrant a maximum loss of -8 points.

9. I, David Foree, have to vote for the score leader in the state primary elections and for the winner of Gamepaign 2008 in the presidential elections.

10. Any player who pledges his or her vote to the score leader / winner of Gamepaign gets voting priority (see full description) and "pledge" recognition.

11. Finally, don't be a bastard.

All rules are up for debate and revision, and new rules can be created at any time through a players' majority vote.
